FIFTH DAY OF THE TRAINING!!

This is last day of Internet Training here at Tanzania Global Learning Agency which conducted by MISA-TAN together with VIKES, I am impressing with what taught during these five days.

This session was so interesting to those who participate in this five days internet training and many of them declare they get more knowledge which can help in their journalism career.

Participants are not tired simply because there are so many discussions during training which make them happy and contribute on what they know about the specific subject taught in class.

For my side am enjoyed a lot within those five days which am here simply because it help me to add some knowledge on internet using and mostly in the facts finding rather than before.

But I observe one thing during this training which is time. For me, I think five days is not enough because our Trainer has many things to teach us not theoretically but also practically.

Many participants admire a lot practical rather than theory this is because they are believe it’s easy to remember than remaining with written documents.

I thoughts next time these two sides which is MISA-TAN and VIKES must think on this because this is very important training to the Tanzanian Journalist who mostly are not good in internet using.

All in all this is one of the training which changes many journalist who are acquire skills through this training and may be they used this knowledge to shape their works.

Trainer everyday insists the importance of using internet and advice editors to see the important of using online journalism which is very marketable in this world.

FOURTH DAY OF THE TRAINING!!

Thursday is fourth day of our internet training here at Tanzania Global Learning Agency conducted together with MISA-TAN and VIKES and continued with facts finding simply because The Trainer need us to have more knowledge on how to such facts which is very impressed exercise.

Day goes well despite we had experienced internet connection problem in the evening but participants enjoy the day because they know how to search facts easily through search engines in the internet.

Participants studied more about the important of search engines as such Google Scholar and Google Map and we practiced how to search facts through these engines. Participants know how to search various areas by using Google Map and how easy to know places by using it.

During facts finding session we search for number of medal which African countries won in Summer Olympics in London including list of medals per country won by athletes who participated in Olympics Games in 2012.

Also we are supposed to read and bring our opinion on Dambisa Moyo’s book known as Dead Aid, this is one of the good book from Zambian-born economist who tried as much as she can to show badness of Western aid.

She show how some Africans who ready to betrayed their fellow through this aid and ready to lead others in war to benefits Western countries who support conflicts and ready to sell weapons.

To my side it was good session simply because I got new techniques on how to get fast facts through search engines.

WESTERN AID SOURCE OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT IN SUB-SAHARAN!!

Dead Aid is the Book written by Dambisa Moyo who is Zambian-born economist and tries to explain how those aids cause of all of Africa’s problems because of a lot of difficulties terms from Western Countries. Author of the Book Dead Aid makes a number of claims about aid which provided to the Africa’s countries from Western and didn’t help any development strategies although cause poor to become poorer.

Dead Aid explain how those aids not works to help the development in Africa rather than cause many conflicts around African countries simply because those people are the one who support conflicts and during that time they take advantage to still minerals. Dambisa comes with strong arguments to support what she believes Western aid programmes in Africa is the source of the problems rather than helping changes in different sectors which are HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Education.

Dambisa Moyo is Zambian-born economist who written Book knwon as Dead Aid
According this African economist western aid programmes always come in order to exploit richness from Africa simply because they invest low but they get more at sometimes force erupts of war in order for them to sell weapons to groups which fights each other. Dambisa written in her books according to research conducted most of sub-Saharan countries flounder in corruption, disease, poverty and aid-dependency despite those countries received billions of dollars in development assistance since 1970’s. So she can see those aids not help those countries and cause underdevelopment.

Author tries to advice those sub-Saharan Leaders to make sure they can put more efforts on trade. Improve governance in order to develop their resources rather than to dump it on the hands of western countries that come as foreign investors.  Also Dambisa point finger to those leaders who abuses aid and used it for their own benefits while other citizens suffer a lot.

Dambisa without any fear said aid in Africa’s countries helped make the poor poorer and growth slower and this a results of killed exportation from Africa and dependency of everything from Western countries. According to the facts which she used its true that aid didn’t help by anyway those countries which still dependant despite received more aid.

Author in her book tries as much as she can to show how this aid cause exploitation and conflicts around Africa which is the source of civil war in many countries and those western used this as advantage to sell weapons and take many resource when those groups fight each other.
